Sage Crossroads Webcast #25 "The Genetics of Longevity" on DVD

Join SAGE Crossroads with two researchers having expert knowledge in the genetic and molecular processes of aging: Dr. Matt Kaeberlein, Senior Fellow, Dept. of Genome Sciences and co-founder of Longenity Inc., and Brian Kennedy, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, Dept. of Biochemistry at the University of Washington., moderated by KUOW (Seattle’s NPR station) reporter, Marcie Sillman, in a moving debate about the wide array of possible genes that could have an impact on the lifespan of organisms. We have continuously searched for ways to work against the effects of aging and to extend our own prolonged existence. In gratitude to science, recent study in genetics suggests that many of the same genes determine longevity across various species – meaning, the processes of aging are likely also the same.
